In other fun news, today kicks off the Big 10 Women's Swimming Championships!
Just to show how swimming-obsessed I still am, I headed back to my high school a few days ago to watch the South Fayette Lady Lions (yes, I only attend schools in which I can be dubbed a 'Lady Lion') take on Montour.
*The Men's Locker Room is in an entirely new area that would have been a) much more convenient to use during practice and b) far too difficult to run into after practice.
*There are restrooms for fans that are not the locker rooms. We never knew other bathrooms existed. For real.
*The 'hot tub' that the divers used when we were this is STILL there. And we are still bitter that we weren't allowed to use it, and all they did during practice was seemingly sit around and not work.
*Speaking of diving, it's still boring and we still hate it. (No offense to divers reading this post - we give you all the credit in the world and it certainly takes talent & dedication but it's clearly not for us.)
*You have to pay to attend a meet when you're not competing. Lame-o.
*The suits that the team have now seem borderline see-through...yikes!
*For backstroke, you have to start in the water - no back dives off the wall/blocks. This one totally threw me off and made me feel so far removed from the sport!
*I'd really like to coach a team someday. Maybe when I get some 'free time' :)
