Yesterday I woke up, made some peanut butter and honey kamut toast, chugged some coffee and leashed up the girls for a fun 5-mile snowy run with Shaun and our friends Rich, Steph and Keira.
Then I dropped off the dogs at home, changed into yoga clothes, ate a banana, grabbed my swim bag and yoga mat and headed to the gym.
Ninety minutes of yoga later (and following a quick snack) we were in the weight room running through our Ironman weight circuit and doing core work.
And as if that wasn't enough, then we hopped into the pool for 1,000 meters. We started with 10 minutes of vertical kicking, then did some laps focusing on kicking drills, and I wrapped things up with 5x100 of various strokes.
I celebrated my super day of exercise with dinner. A gluten-free, corn-free, dairy-free, alcohol-free, meat-free one of course. Wild rice and fried eggs it was! And man, it was tasty.
It feels good to be fit, doesn't it?
