Are you guys tired of me talking about the snow we have here yet? Because it was just about melted and then today brought about ten inches of glorious powder so far. Yes, so far. Still going.
Things I really can't stand include my hamstrings at the moment. They are so tight from spin last night and kettle bells two nights ago. I've been googling hamstring stretches all day like a mad woman. If you have any recos, please send them my way. Tomorrow is definitely an upper body day at the gym!
Speaking of spin class, Ironman Canada is now being held in Whistler in 2013. The general entry slots sold out last night and while I am not yet ready for a full Ironman, I do have my heart set on volunteering at the race. Ironman + Whistler = Happy & Motivated Julie. Who's with me?!
Oh, AND the 2013 lululemon SeaWheeze Half Marathon has been scheduled for August 10. It was so much fun that we've decided to make it an annual trip, and I can't wait to go back and run that race again while spending time in one of my favorite cities. Last I counted, that's only 15 days separating SeaWheeze and Ironman Canada so maybe I will just hang out in Vancouver for a while. Anyone want to take me in? I can cook in return for a room!
On a random side note, I love seeing the flavors of food in different countries. Blame this on my former Gatorade job when I was always trying to find out what they were drinking across the world. Pineapple in Brazil, anyone? Well, dill is big here in Canada. Since Subway was out of apples, these chips had to suffice, and I actually quite liked them.
