Saturday found us a few blocks away at DaDeO, a raved-about New Orleans-style diner that stands out to me as they do not allow minors in their restaurant. I am not sure the reason for this and would be curious to hear whether anyone has experienced it before.
A rainy Sunday morning led us to church and then back home for brunch. We did the best with what we had and pulled together a rather tasty meal of french toast (minus the vanilla, cinnamon and maple syrup, so really toasted egg-bread, ha!), eggs with cheddar cheese, and nectarines (amazing) and bacon from the market. This bacon was so thick and delicious, I am already dreaming about more!
This afternoon, we decided it was time to show my mom one of Edmonton's landmarks: the West Edmonton Mall, also known as the largest mall in North America, even surpassing Mall of America in Minneapolis.
Sadly, we did not ride the roller coaster.
