We started with drinks. I decided on the Gratitude to Greens Elixir, which was made with nettle tea, parsley, orange juice, ginger, kale, lime, agave, blue green algae and vitamineral greens. It tasted exactly as I expected it to and was very satisfying. Shaun had the Noorish-Mint Dream and holy wow, was it delicious! It was made with homemade cashew cream, coconut milk powder, holy basil tincture, ahwagandha tincture, honey, milky oat seed, vanilla stevia, vanilla bean powder and dream tea blend consisting of chamomile, passionflower, skull cap, lemon balm and peppermint.
This morning we were back in the saddle for the first spin of 2013. Our coach, Rich, told us it would be a mild workout. Nearly 90 minutes later, he admitted it probably looked easier on paper and was certainly more in the hard category. <insert sigh of relief as my HR was through the roof>
