This was always the case to me until 2006 rolled around and a high school kid from a suburb in Rochester, NY made a statement on the high school basketball court.
His name was Jason McElwain. Also known as J-Mac. And if you're not familiar with his story and what happened that night, you can read it here and watch it here.
I had the privilege of having dinner with J-Mac and his dad in NYC one night before taking him on Good Morning America the next morning on behalf of my client. Such a simple evening, but an inspirational one at that. J-Mac gifted me with his book as to say thanks for the experience. Little did he realize, the pleasure was all mine.
So my hope for you reading this today is that you'll let yourself be inspired. Do not harp on the shortcomings in life. But rather, focus on the positives and do everything you can with what you've been given. Never give up & give it your all.
