It all started on Saturday. There was a few inches of snow on the ground, and we had taken the pups to the tennis courts for some playtime/energy release. We watched some House Hunters and we picked at some food for lunch. Then we went to the gym. I figured I would run a few miles and do some weights in order to meet Shaun's approximate 90 minute workout. I settled in on a treadmill and realized the Pens game was on TV! On went the radio and up went my head to watch the TV and BOOM - 8 miles later and two periods of the game I was done, and only because I thought Shaun was itching to go. Had I watched the intermission and the remainder of the game, I could have probably come close to a half marathon. So what's the moral of the story? Cheer on the Pens & you will be a running superstar!
In other news, have you checked out the new February Run Challenge tab? Minus a bout with a fever/the flu yesterday I've gotten in my mileage everyday and have decided to go big or go home by setting a new goal of 100 miles by February 29.
What are some new goals you've set for yourself?
How do you motivate yourself when running indoors on a treadmill?
Do any of you love Staalsy & Fleury as much as I do?
Happy Monday, all - here's to a great week!
