While January flew by as I was busy with work, the pups, life, etc. I definitely felt the effects of not having anything to really hardcore 'train' for. My 2012 race schedule is still quite undecided (other than a 10K in May but more to come in a special post on that one) and I'm not as motivated to get out the door for a workout.
That brings us to the February Run Challenge. I've decided that I'm going to step outside my comfort zone a bit and commit to running every day this month. (No, I did not choose February since it's the shortest month of the year - mere coincidence!) The rules are simple: run every day. At least one mile to count. Indoor, outdoor, doesn't matter. And it's not for time. It's for fun! And to prove to myself (and yourself) that you can do anything you set your mind to.
You'll see I've added some sweet dailymile widgets to the right sidebar of this blog. These will keep me accountable for my running and my other workouts. After all, just because I'm adding in more running doesn't mean everything else stops.
So...who's up for the challenge with me? Or who is doing a similar challenge in February? My friend Sarah recently completed a 30 Day Bikram Challenge. You should check out her daily log here for some inspiration!
You can do this. You've got this. Step outside your comfort zone. After all...
