I didn't want this bad workout to deter me so I went straight to work on some homemade White Bean and Rosemary Soup when I get home. All from scratch, and all delicious. These are the types of things we eat in the Mason house when I'm on a 'soft foods only' diet. More to come on that. My husband is such a trooper.
Today, we got to work on fixing these specific stomach issues. But first, espresso.
The first test went nice and smoothly and the tech was super friendly so we talked about swimming, her family business, her new granddaughter and the fact that I am going to have precious ginger babies some day. I was done much earlier than the original 2-3 hour time frame I was given, so I toured the hospital and stumbled across this neat view of Mellon Arena. If you look closely, you can see through it!
Moving on, I learned that during the test they would be ejecting iodine into me, hence the need for the IV. If you've never experienced this before, it's quite the 'sensation' - you immediately get warm all over & feel like you're peeing your pants.
Next came the barium sulfite to drink. Instant flashbacks to a recent colonoscopy.
By the time I was done, I was starving & I grabbed a Gatorade (of course I did) on my way to the car only to find it snowing. Five minutes later it turned to rain. Boooooo.
Test results will be with my doctor tomorrow. Here's hoping something shows up!
After all, if you don't have your health and your life, what do you have?
